WELCOME!!

The La Jolla Shores Association (LJSA) is a democratic volunteer organization with a 30-year history of service to the La Jolla Shores community. The Association's primary purpose is community issues as they relate to the protection and enhancement of the unique characteristics of the La Jolla Shores area. The Association also strives to represent the interests of the local community with other organizations, including local and state government agencies. The Association holds regular monthly meetings which are open to the general public.

RECENT NEWS

The LJSA has published the final draft of the 2008 "Status of La Jolla Shores" identifying issues and recommendations for solutions. Take a moment to review the latest by clicking here to review this document.

REGULAR MEETINGS

We generally meet the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm in Building T-29 on the campus of UCSD's Scripps Institution of Oceanography. However, please check the agenda on the Meetings page to make sure the meeting location and date have not been changed. The public is welcomed to attend. Get more information (and possible alternate locations/dates) by clicking on the MEETINGS button above.

DONATIONS

We need your help! As an all-volunteer organization, we run a very low-cost organization. But the cost of informing the public of news and issues through flyers or local advertising does add up quickly. If you'd like to help the cause, please send your donations to the address on our CONTACT page. We are classified as a 501(c)(4) tax exempt organization (Civic Leagues and Social Welfare Organizations) by the IRS. Donations to organizations of this category are often not tax deductible, so please consult with your own tax advisor on such matters.
